Barwon Valley Golf Club have just received a grant from the Victorian Government’s Golf Infrastructure Fund for $124,000 for redevelopment of their Driving Range.
This follows the Australian golf industry announcement earlier this month of the Golf Course 2030 Australia Roadmap which aims to steer golf through factors such as the changing climate, resource constraints and regulation on course condition and playability.
This grant will be an investment in driving range facilities to better serve all types of golfers.
Better golf facilities make it easier for players and supporters of all abilities to get involved in the sport.
BVGC plan for this grant is to have all their bays undercover, which will create further use of their range in colder months.
