Perfect weather, perfect conditions and a very well-prepared Lonsdale Links greeted 31 pairs contesting the 2022 Men’s Foursomes Championship.
Excellent trophies were on offer for the 36 hole competition and thanks goes to Don Walker for his sponsorship.
After round one, we saw a tight contest with 11 pairings shooting 79 (9 over the card) or better setting the scene for a terrific contest in the afternoon.
The afternoon round witnessed some great golf with 8 pairs shooting 79 or better to ensure the winner needed to shoot two solid rounds to take the Championship.
The end result saw the pairing of John Anderson and Ben Martin from Lonsdale Links win the 2022 Men’s Foursomes Championship by 7 shots with excellent rounds of 72/71 (3 over the card) from the runner’s up Derek Edwards and Aidan Edwards with rounds of 76/74.
The Nett result saw the tables turned with Derek Edwards and Aidan Edwards take out the event with the runners-up being John Anderson and Ben Martin.
