This event honours the work of Joye Burton, who after being a delegate since 1985 became a member of the SWDLGA committee in 1989, the year in which the District became incorporated.

In 1999 a wind-up day for Sunday Pennant was inaugurated and in 2000 the event was renamed the ‘Joye Burton Salver’, with the unanimous support of the SWD committee.  In 2006, Joye was made a Life Member in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the District.

SUNDAY 26th MAY 2023 @ CURLEWIS G.C  -    $80/pair. Includes:  golf green fees, & prizes.   Food & drinks will be available all day to purchase.

EVENT 1: The Joye Burton Salver – awarded to the team returning the best overall 4BBB Stableford score for 18 holes.  Teams of 2. 

• Restricted to players who have played at least one game of Sunday SWGA Pennant in 2023.

 The Salver trophy to be held by the winning club for twelve months.
