104 Women from the Friday pennant teams entered this Canadian Foursomes event held at the picturesque Anglesea Golf Club on Friday 22nd May.
The course was in magnificent condition & the weather was perfect.
The foursomes format requires patience, empathy, a sense of fun
& not saying “sorry”…too many times.
As is often the case the home course is a big advantage & today was no exception. There were 2 Divisions 0-29 & 30+ combined GA handicap.
Winners of the Salver with the best nett from both Divisions was the local pairing of Stephanie Theodore & Jo Dempsey with 73 nett.
- Div 1 Best Gross Winners: Susan Horne & the budding junior from 13th Beach GC Ele Wu with 84.
- Div 1 Nett Runner up: Youlden Dolma & Jo Murray Anglesea GC 77.1
- Div 2 Best gross Winners Lesley Richardson Inverleigh & Annie Jefferies from Curlewis GC 92.
- Div 2 Nett winners: Sally Phillip & Caroline Dickins from Anglesea GC with 76.3
- Div 2 Nett runner up: Fay & Pam Hartford from Clifton Springs GC 77.3
- NTPS Holes 3 &16: Sam Brequet 13th Beach GC
- Hole 6: Pam Hartford Clifton Springs. Hole 13: Fiona Scott Colac GC.
On behalf of all the players, thank you to the Anglesea GC for hosting today, the course was an ideal setting (pretty & challenging) for such a special event. The after-golf catering & hospitality was perfect for the occasion & enjoyed by all. A special thank you to the golf shop staff for their assistance with scheduling & the challenges thrown up with the scoring.
