The SWGA Men’s Country Teams Championships will be held in the Ballarat region from 14–16 September 2026.
Players wishing to be considered for selection are encouraged to register their interest and participate in the scheduled practice rounds and upcoming championship events.
Team selection will be based on a combination of:
- Pennant performances
- District Championship results
- SWGA Foursomes Championship results
- Scores and performances from the two official practice rounds
Practice Rounds
Sunday 21 June – Queenscliff Golf Club
- Tee times from 8:00am
- Approximately 6–7 groups
- No carts booked
- $35 per player
- Players are responsible for making their own way to Queenscliff and covering the green fee cost
Sunday 2 August – Midlands Golf Club
- Tee times from 9:00am
- Approximately 6–7 groups
- Carts booked for all players
Midlands Golf Club is one of the three host venues for this year’s Country Teams Championships, making this an important opportunity for prospective team members to gain valuable experience on a championship course prior to the event.
For the Midlands practice round, all players are asked to meet at Barwon Valley Golf Club at 7:00am, with the Geelong Golf Academy bus departing at approximately 7:15am.
The SWGA will cover all expenses associated with this practice round, including transport, green fees and carts, ensuring there is no cost to participating players.
Please note: Due to limited places available, priority for the Midlands practice round will be given to players who also participated in the Queenscliff practice round.
