The inaugural AFL Grand Final Public Holiday golf event was held at Bannockburn Golf Club on Friday 25th September.
76 players made up teams of 4 in any combination playing Gentsomes Foursomes in reasonable weather.
Bannockburn GC was able to showcase their new greens and updated course. A lot of hard work, including many volunteers, produced a course for all to enjoy. The speed of the greens caught some by surprise.
Post event hospitality was a welcome sight by many.
Interesting to note the winning teams consisted of one team each of men, women and mixed. It was great to see a junior playing, and we hope this will increase in 2026.
A big thank you to Bannockburn members. Feedback has been positive and format comments will ensure this event will continue.
