A great tussle to the end……
On a cool and windy day Lonsdale Links ran out winners in this years Betty Kernot Knockout over a competitive Barwon Valley 3/2 at the beautiful 13th Beach Creek Course which provided tricky conditions for all players.
In front of a good gallery, the match seesawed throughout in the trying conditions with balls running through greens, down the tricky slopes and into bunkers which created a stage for some exceptional chips and putts by all players at critical moments contributing to a highly contested match.
Congratulations to the winning Lonsdale Links pair of Daelene Crigan and substitute for Jo Cordner, Tayna McGann on the clubs first Betty Kernot win.
Commiserations to the valiant efforts of the Barwon Valley team of Bernadette Bogacki and Sue Holmes.
