2025 kicked off to a great start for SWGA women today at Anglesea .
112 women representing 18 clubs in the district played to win the first competition of the season, ‘The women’s Irish” .
Perfect conditions on the picturesque course still stymied some teams and a home team advantage certainly came to the fore with Anglesea taking out the top two positions .
Followed closely by Curlewis 3rd with East Geelong beating Torquay on a count back for 4th.
It was wonderful to see so many new faces amongst the old ones ! Women’s golf is looking strong in South Western district.
Thank you to Anglesea Golf Club for hosting this fun day beginning with the welcoming morning tea, Proshop support and the delicious buffet lunch.
